Club AGM - Sunday July 30th.

The club’s AGM will be held on Sunday 30th July at 11.00am preceded by club races at 9.00 am. We’d like to see a strong turn-up from the membership.

At the meeting, the 22/23 committee will be dissolved with all positions up for renomination. Treasurer and Secretary roles will become vacant with current incumbents not renominating. Those with financial skills or those with organisational skills are asked to consider nomination for one of these two roles which are part of the club executive group.

There are also 3 General committee positions to fill with responsibilities as; 1. Membership, 2. Social, and 3. House (Clubhouse maintenance).

Committee nomination forms the agenda and Annual report will be circulated in due course.

Victorian Government backs the Head of the Yarra.

Thanks to the fabulous efforts of HRC member Rob Perkins, Hawthorn Rowing Club has secured an impressive list of support sponsors for the ‘23 Head of the Yarra. The Victorian Government is our largest support sponsor for 2023 which recognises the significance of our Head of The Yarra event.

Captain’s Update

**Winter program Rowing Development (RD) sessions**
Each Sunday at 9.00am throughout the winter there will be coached training sessions. These sessions provide members with regular coaching and training with Head Coach, Simon Harrison and will have a specific focus on both club based and individual development goals. It also provides a regular opportunity to meet, row and socialise with other HRC members. ***Rowers of all experience are invited to participate.***

National Masters Results

Congratulations to Conrad Tullock representing Victoria in the state masters8+ and winning 2 Bronze Medals in both the C and D Masters 4+ at the final regatta of the season in Penrith.
The following week, Conrad again took his oars to win the marital pairs championship with Yvette Gray.

WINTER SCULLING COMPETITION
