Boat rigging and Gearing

Hawthorn’s club boats and oars are generally geared to standard setting for men’s and women’s crews to facilitate broadest usage of our equipment For this reason no changes should be made to club equipment without prior consultation with the Captain.

Members with private equipment and competition crews with allocated equipment, under the supervision of their coach, will be permitted to alter red fleet settings to maximise performance for competition.
