Junior Development Program
Joining the Hawthorn Rowing Club as a junior member provides numerous benefits, including access to our clubhouse, quality fleet, and rowing equipment. Junior members become part of a vibrant rowing community and have the opportunity to compete alongside adult members in club regattas.
Our club is managed by unpaid volunteer members, and coaching is generally contracted and paid for by individual members. Junior programs are organised similarly, with families funding term-structured training programs coordinated by Tristan Krstevski (juniorrowing@hawthornrowingclub.com). These programs primarily cater to school-aged children who do not have access to rowing through their school curriculum
Our program is designed to help young athletes develop their rowing skills, build strength and endurance, and improve their overall fitness. Our junior coaches work with each athlete to help them reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Our Junior Rowing Program is a great way for young athletes to learn a new sport, make new friends, and have fun while staying active and healthy. Whether you're new to rowing or an experienced rower, our program has something for everyone.
