EQUIPMENT USAGE ETIQUETTE

  • Book boat - Check bookings, to ensure you are not taking booked boats

  • Leave tressels and soap buckets out for crews on water

  • Wash boats & equipment after usage

  • Report any damage or breakages on the board

  • Fix easily fixed issues like missing bolts and screws before putting boats away

  • Put used cox equipment back on chargers

  • Leave equipment ready for use by others, reset boat settings of club boats

  • Don’t alter settings on club equipment without captain’s permission

  • Don’t take parts from other boats to fix a problem- You just create another one.

  • Take care within sheds transporting riggers an oars - boat skins are brittle.

  • Try to use oars from sets, rather than breaking up oarsets that others can use.

  •  If you have an on water incident, stroke of crew needs to lodge formal report to secretary.
