2021 Australian Rowing Championships Final

U17 4x+ Archie Critchell (HRC), Curtis Wilmot (GG) Max Currie (HRC), Antony Smith (GG), Cox Camden Beyer (GG), Coach Tristan Krstevski (HRC)

Hawthorn Rowing Club was represented by Max, Archie and their coach Tristan at the Australian Rowing Championships over the last 6 days.

Max Currie came 6th in the B final of the U17 1x on Wednesday. On Thursday Max and Archie Critchell came 6th in the Semi Final of the 2x, and this morning the two boys teaming up with Gippsland Grammar came 8th in the final of the U17 quad Scull.

Congratulations to both boys, and their coach Tristan, for a great effort over the last 6 days progressing through to and beyond the final 16 across all boat Classes representing the club at the highest level.

Yarra Bank Reserve Playground works

Council has advised of works to the Yarrbank Reserve playground which will disrupt access through the parklands to the front of the sheds, particularly in daylight work hours over the next 3 months. Works start on April 6th. <Council Notification>


River Safety.

I am asking that you ensure all members of your club, hirers, operators, Masters and users, are provided with a copy of <the attached letter> or are made aware of the waterway rules that apply on the Yarra.  Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and awareness of the Waterway Rules is the starting point.

Carrum Masters Regatta - April 10th

Works to Hawthorn Bridge

Works are about to commence on the underside of the Hawthorn Bridge . A barge is likely to halve river access beneath the bridge. The < Attached flyer > explains the works
