Hawthorn Rowing Club lists our events, rowing camps, learn to row programs, working bees, and the like on Google Calendar. We encourage members and visitors to utilise the calendar as a guide to help plan the upcoming rowing year and mark important dates in your diaries. To subscribe to the HRC calendar, click the "+" sign at the bottom. Members are also encouraged to regularly refer to Rowing Victoria’s Regatta Calendar and the Rowing_Manager website for more details regarding regattas.

Social Events

Hawthorn Rowing Club regularly runs three social events during the year. Please feel free to contact a member of the HRC Committee if you have any questions or would like to assist with any of these events. Current dates and details will be added to the HRC Google Calendar

ANZAC Day Head Race, Service, Boat Christening and BBQ
A handicap race for all members is planned for 9am. Service will be held at the HRC Memorial from 11.00am, followed by a morning tea in the Club House. The day gives us the opportunity to remember the 43 HRC young, fit men enlisted in WWI, unfortunately 8 did not return. In 1919 a memorial was erected to remember them.

Annual Dinner
A great night reflecting on the season that was. Celebrating at …, anticipate a three course dinner, awards presentation, raffles, auctions and some other surprises for this year's event.

President vs Captain's 8 Race
An opportunity to enjoy a friendly battle, racing a shortened course in a mighty 8 with a hand-picked crew by the President or the Club Captain. This is often proceeded by a boat naming ceremony.
