Race Program Season 2019/20
The race program for the 2019/20 season is outlined below. Regattas highlighted in blue are the ones the club will attend, providing trailer transport for boats. Separately the Junior head coach Luciano Morand will advise of any addition schools and Junior squad regattas throughout the season.
Full detail for each regatta with events and schedule is available via Rowing Manager.
Rowing Victoria’s regatta schedules are inclusive of all levels of ability. At HRC our aim will to be to get as many of our club members as possible competing throughout season 2019-20. There are great health and wellbeing benefits which come from being an active club regatta participant.
To facilitate regatta participation will have an active Rowing Development Committee whose members will provide contact points within the club for members to interact if they would like to compete. See Rowing Development tab for details.
Starts with head races in which we would like to see quads of male, female and mixed crews, both masters and grade level competing. Note there are entry level races for those who haven’t competed before.
Bendigo Regatta is a great regatta to ease into competition even if not yet race fit. The picturesque 500 metre course on Lake Weroona is a favourite season starter amongst many members of the club.
Join the club in the mid season at Lake Moodamere in Rutherglen, the most Iconic bush-setting regatta in Australia. Enjoy the wine region and social vibe of this broad two day 800 and 500 metre race programme. Great regatta for partners & family to join you in an overnight stay.
After this regatta, the season hots up as we prepare for representation in state and national regattas.
The last few months of the season start with the schools’ championships and national regattas, followed by the Masters regatta season.
